I began my career in CNC automation, specializing in laser cutting and automated steel bending. Over a decade and a half, as I honed my practice of precise measurement, I fell in love with the artistic expressions of my work. I began to expand into personalized crafts. Creating unique laser cut wooden keep-sake boxes and metal crafts for customers.
My world changed with the arrival of my two lovely children, and my career changed focus with an opportunity to apply my skills in contracting. Continuing my evolution from an industrial design perspective to practical living art, I can now offer an integrated modality to a fitting, highly personalized home project with long practiced accuracy.
I started off in civil engineering and design. Within civil engineering I fulfilled many roles: a site inspector, Auto CAD drafter, survey data compiler and designer of custom steel scaffolding and safety equipment.
When my daughter was born I started contracting. I enjoy contracting for the independence and professional integrity. Allowing me to view a project in its entirety and make tangible adjustments for best results. Bathroom installations allowed me to do more personalized, exacting work; tiling and trim-work that would be functional, and a reflection of the customer.
Every project is a journey of discovery. Through observing the work that has come before I improve on past work with my attention to detail and a desire to learn and grow. Contracting allows me to see self improvement every time I wield a tool. I am philosophical about work. I Want it to be 100%, to be perfect, not just to the numbers, but to the touch, to the look, and to the expression.
On a project, I am not just doing an install; I am immersed in a full service interaction that builds rapport and shows respect and love for a clients’ home and living space. The greatest project experience is a customer integrated design process that manifests unexpected beauty and meaning from our collaboration.
